Nicholas was forged in the stone industry rather than simply entering it. Growing up in the Vermont shop of Anita Socinski at A&M, now A&N Stoneworks, he mastered physical templating with luan and styrene before he could drive. He transitioned early into full-time shop management, taking command of advanced machinery. This foundational expertise allowed him to operate everything from Cougar bridge saws to Pro Edgers. In 2007, he completed intensive training at Park Industries in St. Cloud, MN, focusing on the Titan CNC and Alpha Cam.

His career highlights include landmark projects like the UVM Medical Center and Bailey Howe Library, collaborating with elite firms such as Silver Maple, Birds Eye & Red House. Identifying a need for better accuracy in the field, he launched Digital Templating Solutions to protect fabricators from the financial drain of poor specifications.

His commitment to precision led him to the Prodim training facility in Fort Pierce, where he earned his Proliner 8X certification in 2020. He returned in 2023 for advanced credentials and completed his marine certification in 2025. It was through Digital Templating Solutions that he demonstrated his expertise on monumental local developments, contributing his skills to the new Burlington High School project, City Place Apartment Complex and the new Double Tree Hotel addition.
